Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances
At Adult & Pediatric Orthodontics, we believe you should be fully educated when it comes to your treatment. It’s helpful for patients around Portland and Windham to learn the differences between fixed and removable appliances.
Dr. Yu attaches fixed appliances (like braces) to your teeth and won’t take them off until you complete your treatment at Adult & Pediatric Orthodontics.
When Dr. Yu prescribes a removable appliance like Invisalign, you’ll wear your trays most of the day but you can still take them out of your mouth.
Besides the obvious differences, Dr. Yu uses Invisalign aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems. At Adult & Pediatric Orthodontics, we generally use fixed appliances for comprehensive and serious and treatment.
